You must have got tired pounding aluminum Lou. I like the preemptive repair where the exhaust gets very close at the back. You can pay now, or pay later. MikeV

Hi Mike, I needed to make room, and need that bike off the stand. Figured I should just get it done. Fairings aren't always fun, but this one actually came out nicely. I'm ordering Dzus fasteners tonight for that fairing and seat. Once it's done I can send it our for paint. By the way, thanks for the article on Reno Leoni! Much appreciated. I also was having a time with the front fender, but I think I figured it out today. I'll post a picture tomorrow. This fender should work! Lou

I dragged this out from the back of the garage. Need to get some more done so I can send out the bodywork for paint. I have to weld a tab for the seat lower leg and re-weld the seat nut that fell off. I'll also wire her up. Get the engine running. Then take it all apart for paint! Hey it's only been two years! I'm also going to resurrect my Moretti soon! I also believe I was smelling too much lacquer thinner today and it is making me delusional! Lou

And I am waiting for a production run on those MC levers. You even drill for lightness! Interesting placement of the damper; I thought only I put them on the inside (room permitting). And, is that a Motoplat starter button/solenoid I see? MikeV

Sorry Mike, I hate making those master levers. A 6x1 tapped hole for the heim joint, a 10mm hole for a bronze bushing for the pin, a 4mm hole for the adjusting screw. Just cutting the shape and grinding and filing is a pain, it's 10mm thick. Should have a bunch water jet cut or laser cut. Just doesn't make sense for me. Yes, that is my last Motoplat. That is an original electrical panel. Just did the spark plug caps, battery ground, running the battery positive cable to the motoplat and the starter cable. Also did the 3 wire harness for the alternator. I find wiring relaxing for some reason. This bike is built from a bunch of parts I bought in Canada during Covid. It's very correct for a replica. Thanks to you (Mike, Carlo, Mauro), I will probably swap the front end to the 42mm Forcelle, once I get the seals. It will have QR P432A's that are ready to go. It's a really nice machine. I hope. Lou

Replaced the tank with one that came with the parts I had originally purchased. I think it looks better and the alloy tank will be used for anything that will be brought to the track, instead of using an original glass tank. Finished the wiring, just have to put a terminal on the starter wire to the starter, then she's done as far as wiring. Now to work on the tons of little details that need doing. Lou

Looking good! What size is that rear rotor? Looks as big as the front!
